Pay Range: $140,000 - $150,000
Job Summary:
The Task Force General Manager provides interim leadership and operational support across Stonebridge's portfolio, with a primary focus on full-service hotels. This role is deployed to properties in transition, underperformance, or leadership gaps, and is responsible for stabilizing operations, driving financial performance, and leading property teams to deliver strong results. The position requires a highly adaptable leader with the ability to quickly assess business needs, implement strategies, and represent Stonebridge effectively at the property and ownership level.
Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Assume full operational leadership of assigned hotels, ensuring continuity and stability during transitions or leadership gaps
  • Direct and manage all day-to-day hotel operations, with a strong focus on full-service environments including Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Events
  • Lead, coach, and develop property leadership teams, driving accountability, performance, and team engagement
  • Assess property performance quickly and implement action plans to improve revenue, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency
  • Partner with Sales, Revenue Management, and Operations teams to drive topline revenue and maximize profitability
  • Ensure financial performance aligns with budget expectations, including oversight of labor, expenses, and GOP targets
  • Represent Stonebridge in ownership and asset management discussions, providing updates on operational performance and strategy execution
  • Maintain strong relationships with local community partners, businesses, and key stakeholders
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and team development to ensure strong and sustainable property leadership
  • Act as on-site Human Resources support when needed, ensuring compliance with company policies and team member relations
  • Ensure adherence to brand standards, company policies, and operational procedures across all assigned properties
  • Promote company initiatives, programs, and culture while serving as an ambassador for Stonebridge
  • Provide detailed transition reporting and ensure smooth handoff to permanent leadership upon assignment completion
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by senior leadership

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:
  • Minimum of 5 years of General Manager experience in a branded, full-service hotel environment
  • Strong background in Food & Beverage and Sales required
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, guest satisfaction, and GOP performance
  • Experience managing hotel transitions, turnarounds, or task force assignments preferred
  • Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue strategy execution
  • Ability to quickly assess operational challenges and implement effective solutions
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills
  • High level of adaptability, flexibility, and problem-solving capability in dynamic environments
  • Experience with Workday HCM and ATS systems preferred
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently across multiple states
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 90% of the time

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • This role requires extensive travel (up to 90%) to properties across multiple states, including full-service, select-service, and extended-stay hotels
  • Work is performed in a combination of hotel environments, corporate settings, and travel conditions
  • Frequent standing, walking, and active leadership presence required throughout hotel operations
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods during travel and administrative work
  • Occasional lifting or movement of items up to 25 lbs may be required
