Responsibilities

You will conduct the following responsibilities, upholding HSS's commitment to safety and security while supporting the values and culture of the client and community.

  • Our Healthcare Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, and its patients and visitors -- and serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property. Our Security Officers also provide supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Completed High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
  • Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs.,help restrain or lift a person
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet HSS a Tarian company driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles).

Employment VerificationFor applicable roles, previous employment must be verified through our background vendor. If any employment cannot be confirmed, candidates may be required to provide proof of employment (such as a pay stubs or W-2s).

TASER Qualifications

  • Ability to meet qualification standards when initially placed in a TASER position and annually thereafter
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a TASER
  • Ability to participate in and pass additional TASER training at the discretion of the TASER instructorand/or HSS a Tarian company
  • Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of the HSS a Tarian company Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER), HSS a Tarian company's Taser Policy
