Job Summary:
The Armed Security Officer will be responsible for providing protective services for assigned facilities, by ensuring the safety of personnel, visitors, assets, and sensitive information. This role includes armed patrols, access control, emergency response, and monitoring of advanced security systems in high security federal environments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct armed patrols, entrance control, personal escorts, traffic/parking control, and fire safety surveillance.
  • Operate and monitor security systems (intrusion detection, access control, duress alarms, CCTV).
  • Provide 24/7/365 routine and emergency protective services per contract standards.
  • Maintain weapons proficiency (9mm pistol, AR-15 Geissele Super Duty Rifle, CEW/Taser).
  • Inspect and maintain security systems and equipment.
  • Train and uphold industry-standard certifications.
  • Comply with suitability, laws, and safety regulations.
  • Identify and correct security vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain proper uniform and professional conduct.
  • Pass all required government background checks and screenings.
  • Participate in substance testing and ongoing training.

Qualifications:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Fluent in English (read, write, speak).
  • Experience:
    • 2 years in security or military service, OR
    • Associate's degree in security/law enforcement, OR
    • 2 years U.S. Armed Services, OR
    • Police academy graduate.

  • Meet medical/physical standards (foot patrols, prolonged standing, rapid emergency response, physical exertion).
  • Pass background investigation and security clearance.
