*This is an Independent Contractor/1099 employee position

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Performing PSR services for clients within our group home and in the community.

The PSR Scope of Service: Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) services are Rehabilitative Mental Health (RMH) interventions designed to reduce psychosocial dysfunction (i.e., interpersonal cognitive, behavioral development, etc.) and restore recipients to their highest level of functioning. PSR services target psychological functioning within a variety of social settings. PSR services may include any combination of the following interventions:

Assisting clients with delegated therapeutic time-related Treatment goals as related to: 

1. Social competency: Clients learn interpersonal-social boundaries and gain confidence in their interpersonal-social skills;

2. Behavior management: Clients learn how to manage their interpersonal, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral responses to various situations. They learn how to positively reflect anger, manage conflicts, and express their frustrations verbally. They learn the dynamic relationship between actions and consequences;

3. Effective communication: Clients learn how to genuinely listen to others and make their personal, interpersonal, emotional, and physical needs known;

Problem identification and resolution: Clients learn problem resolution techniques and gain confidence in their problems solving skills;

Self-sufficiency: Clients learn to build self-trust, self-confidence, and/or self-reliance therapeutically.

 JOB RELATED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess own personal reliable transportation with current registration, and valid Nevada State drivers license
  • Must provide proof of liability car insurance with at least the minimum coverage required by the state of Nevada
  • Must maintain Washoe County Clearance and submit the application packet within one week of accepting the position.
  • Obtain or maintain licensure and/or necessary certification and an NPI Must pass a background/FBI check
  • B.A. in Psychology or related field and

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure clients’ safety at all times.
  • Correspond with clinicians, QMHP, and supervisors regarding treatment plans, timelines, and updates.
  • Perform duties in a professional and ethical manner
  • Must work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize, sort and organize; able to multi-task.
  • Demonstrate strong written, verbal and analytical skills.
  • Must be able to independently make decisions demonstrating sound judgment.
  • Demonstrate the ability and willingness to assume additional tasks.
  • Meet with clients as required/scheduled and ensure that their needs are met.
  • Review, implement, and follow treatment plans at all times, operate session based on Together Facing The Challenge Model.
  • Have an open-mind and work with designated staff to develop and facilitate activities with clients, as needed.
  • Maintain daily service logs and complete progress notes daily.
  • Submit payroll and billing information timely and accurately.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings/training sessions

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

  • Working conditions are varied with client visits most often scheduled in the client's home and/or community
  • Must possess own personal reliable transportation with current registration and valid Nevada drivers license
  • Must provide proof of liability car insurance with at least the minimum coverage required by the state of Nevada
  • Shifts are generally mid-day, evening and weekend; depending on clients need.
