ProSidian Seeks a Guest Services Specialist | Hospitality and Event Support Services [DOD002007] for Program Support on a Exempt 1099 Contract: No Overtime Pay Basis. Located in the Piedmont and listed under a Administrative Specialist I Labor Category as a Engagement Team Mid Level Professional aligned under services related to NAICS: Hotels (except Casino Hotels) and Motels - 721110 - DPLH Est.: 22 Hrs. ST | 0 Hrs. OT on a Exempt 1099 Contract: No Overtime Pay Contract Contingent Basis located CONUS - Richmond VA Across The Piedmont Region supporting the U.S. Air Force Military & Family Readiness Center with data entry and front desk customer service functions.

Seeking Guest Services Specialist candidates with relevant DOD/Military Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for DOD/Military Sector Clients such as DOD. This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Hospitality and Event Support Services Functional Area - Hospitality and Event Support Services Position; however, ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.

JOB OVERVIEW

Provide services and support as a Hospitality and Event Support Services (Staffing representatives) in the DOD/Military Industry Sector focusing on Business Process Solutions for clients such as Department of Defense (DOD) | Virginia Army National Guard Generally Located In CONUS - Richmond VA and across the Piedmont Region (Of Country/World).

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Guest Services Specialist | Hospitality and Event Support Services [DOD002007]

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all guest-related inquiries and issues during the VAARNG FY25 Family Program Volunteer Workshop.
  • Ensure seamless check-in/check-out processes for 50 overnight guests on May 2-3, 2025, and parking coordination for 60 additional guests on May 3-4, 2025.
  • Manage and staff two (2) registration tables outside the General Session room and one (1) outside the Childcare room for attendee registration and assistance.
  • Provide on-site support for event logistics, including lodging, catering, and transportation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication between attendees, the COR, and event service teams.
  • Facilitate and resolve any guest issues related to accommodations, meals, parking, and other services promptly and professionally.
  • Deliver a reserved parking area list/map to the COR no later than 5 days before the event.
  • Ensure guest service coverage during the event: May 2 (2:00 pm – 8:00 pm), May 3 (6:00 am – 6:00 pm), and May 4 (6:00 am – 6:00 pm).
  • Ensure proper signage for registration and other guest areas is visible and clear.
Qualifications

Desired Qualifications For Guest Services Specialist | Hospitality and Event Support Services [DOD002007] (DOD002007) Candidates:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in guest services, event coordination, or hospitality management.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) or military event protocols is preferred.
  • Proven ability to handle guest relations and resolve service-related issues efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of event registration processes and logistical coordination.

Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with military-affiliated events or government contracts is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing event registration, customer service, and coordinating with multiple service teams.

Ancillary Details Of The Roles

  • Ensure the registration tables are fully equipped with sign-in sheets, name tags, event materials, and necessary supplies.
  • Coordinate with the on-site technical subject matter expert to address guest concerns related to audio/visual or internet services.
  • Ensure all guests receive accurate information regarding lodging, meal times, parking locations, and event schedules.
  • Provide a post-event summary report detailing guest inquiries, issues resolved, and recommendations for future events.
  • Assist in coordinating transportation if parking is not within walking distance (0.25 miles) of the venue.

Other Details

  • Guest Service Specialists must always be present and available during the designated support hours.
  • Ensure all guest concerns or logistical issues are communicated promptly to the COR or authorized representative.
  • Provide ongoing support to all event attendees, including families, youth, and child participants, ensuring comfort and satisfaction.
