Job description

Role: Lab Tech Aide - 2nd Shift
Location: Altavista, VA - 24517
Duration: 09 Months
Shift: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation, labeling, and documentation of lab samples.
  • Support laboratory technicians and scientists in conducting routine tests and procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory, including washing glassware and restocking supplies.
  • Accurately log data and update records in lab management systems.
  • Ensure proper storage and disposal of laboratory materials and chemicals.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment as instructed.
  • Follow all safety and quality protocols and report any deviations or hazards immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support lab operations during the 2nd shift.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or coursework in a science-related field preferred.
