POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Accounting Analyst is responsible for executing and reviewing corporate accounting activities, supporting the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and partnering with business stakeholders. This role combines accounting expertise, analytical capabilities, and leadership responsibilities including mentoring staff and identifying and driving process improvements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Perform month-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • Prepare and review journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.

  • Prepare and review account reconciliations and ensure balances are properly stated.

  • Reconcile and settle intercompany transactions monthly.

  • Analyze financial statements and provide fluctuation explanations.

  • Prepare partnership financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

  • Communicate financial results, issues, and resolutions to internal stakeholders.

  • Research and apply GAAP to routine and complex accounting transactions.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiencies.

  • Develop and maintain desk procedures and accounting documentation to ensure compliance with SOX controls and support internal and external audits.

  • Manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Perform detailed self-reviews and ensure accuracy and completeness of outputs.

  • Maintain strong cross-functional relationships, mentor staff and support special projects and ad hoc requests.

  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

  • 3+ years of corporate or public accounting experience

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Regular and reliable attendance with ability and willingness to work overtime if needed

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

  • Regular and reliable attendance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CPA or CPA-eligible

  • Experience with accounting systems, including Oracle Financials Cloud (OFC) and OneStream
