This position is primarily remote, allowing you to provide counseling services from the comfort of your home. However, you will also have the opportunity to engage with clients in our outpatient office located in Richmond, Virginia, depending on client needs and preferences. • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and emotional well-being through interviews, questionnaires, and observational techniques.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that align with each client's unique needs and therapeutic goals, revising these plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group therapy, tailored to address specific issues and enhance client coping strategies.
• Monitor the progress of clients, providing adjustments to treatment interventions when needed to ensure optimal outcomes over time.
• Offer immediate crisis intervention for clients in distress, employing de-escalation techniques and support strategies to manage acute situations effectively.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record systems to streamline documentation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of fellow professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other therapists, to facilitate a holistic approach to patient care.
• Stay abreast of advancements in mental health treatment methodologies and continuously enhance your own clinical skills through training and professional development.
• Adhere to high ethical standards and professional guidelines as established by relevant licensing bodies and mental health organizations.

You will work with a diverse range of clients experiencing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and relationship issues. Our client population reflects the rich cultural tapestry of Richmond, Virginia, and we prioritize culturally sensitive practices that honor each client's unique background and experiences.

• A completed Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health discipline.
• Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of Virginia.
• Possession of strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, enabling effective identification and treatment of mental health issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fostering effective interactions with clients, families, and colleagues.
• A compassionate and empathetic demeanor, demonstrating a genuine commitment to enhancing client well-being.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a team while also exhibiting self-direction and accountability.

• Minimum of three years of experience as a mental health therapist or counselor in a clinical setting.
