Position Overview

The Carpenter is responsible for performing residential and commercial reconstruction following fire, water, mold, storm, and other property damage. This position completes a variety of rough and finish carpentry tasks while helping restore homes and businesses to their pre-loss condition.

Every day is different. You'll work on a variety of projects, collaborate with a great team, and help customers rebuild after unexpected events.

What You'll Do

  • Perform rough and finish carpentry on residential and commercial reconstruction projects.
  • Frame walls, install doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry.
  • Install drywall, tape, texture, paint, flooring, and other finish materials.
  • Complete minor plumbing, electrical, and general construction repairs as needed.
  • Read work orders and complete projects according to company quality standards.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and fellow team members.
  • Utilize company mobile technology to document work performed and project updates.
  • Travel between multiple job sites as needed.
  • Follow company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Support teammates and other departments to keep projects on schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Two (2) or more years of carpentry or general construction experience preferred.
  • Experience with rough and finish carpentry.
  • Working knowledge of drywall, painting, flooring, and general construction.
  • Restoration industry experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Basic hand tools required.
  • Comfortable using smartphones or tablets for daily documentation.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality workmanship.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work on ladders and in confined spaces when necessary.
