Requires Heavy Forklift and Yard Mule experience

Previous Tank Experience is a plus

The Tank Mechanic function is to ensure proper workmanship is maintained in all aspects of the job. This can only be accomplished by a thoughtful, organized process administered by a competent person suited to the task with technical skills. In addition to the above, the employee will assist the Large Format coworkers in any way possible as well as the shop supervisor.

General Duties

Equipment Operator

  • Lift & Yard Mule Operation (Taylor Forklift 27,000lb capacity, Ottawa Yard mule)
  • Perform all ISO Container movement
  • Day-to-day operation of equipment
  • Clean equipment as needed
  • Report all equipment deficiencies
  • Maintain equipment in a state of readiness
  • Conduct all work activities in a professional manner
  • Perform all duties in a safe, effective and efficient manner under company health, safety, & environmental policies

Tank Mechanic

  • Prep parts according to the work orders
  • Install parts onto ISO Tank according to drawings
  • Repair tanks according to off-lease estimate
  • Perform periodic testing of ISO tank
  • Work with third party inspectors
  • General maintenance of ISO tanks, chassis, and shop
  • Perform daily assigned equipment inspection and use - Use hand/power tools (impact driver, angle grinder, wrenches/ratchets, hammers, etc.)
  • Operate Equipment (forklift, pressure washer, air compressor)
  • Working at heights (8ft+)

Welding - ability to weld or willingness to learn

  • Prep/fabricate parts to be welded
  • Weld out parts for the ISO Tanks according to drawings
  • Safely weld components to the tank and chassis
