The Material Handler for E-commerce plays a pivotal role in delivering an unparalleled customer experience by preparing and shipping orders with accuracy and efficiency. As an essential part of our production team, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, from receiving finished goods to ensuring correct inventory shipment. This role demands agility, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail. 

Requirements:

Role and Responsibilities / Essential   Functions

  • Order Fulfillment: Execute daily order fulfillment tasks, including picking merchandise, labeling boxes, and shipping orders.
  • Finished Goods Handling: Manage the warehouse's storage and transfer of finished products, utilizing inventory management systems for accurate tracking.
  • Order Management: Actively monitor open orders and intervene to rectify issues, ensuring customers receive the correct product.
  • Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts and collaborate with operations to reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Equipment Operation: Utilize equipment such as sit-down forklifts, scan guns, pallet jacks, and Walkie riders (training provided) for the receipt and shipment of goods.
  • Warehouse Support: Participate in other warehouse tasks as needed to support overall operations.

Required Skills / Abilities /   Competencies

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in problem-solving with an ability to make independent decisions.
  • Self-starter who can work independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of management and with customers.
  • Familiarity with UPS & FedEx shipping systems is an advantage.
  • 2-3 years' experience in sit down forklift.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in roles involving customer service, warehouse management, or order fulfillment is preferred.

Mental/Physical Requirements

  • Mental Agility: Quick decision-making and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented: High level of focus for tasks like labeling and inventory tracking.
  • Communication: Ability to convey information effectively across management levels and with customers.
  • Physical Dexterity: Operation of equipment like forklifts, scan guns, and pallet jacks.
  • Manual Handling: Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching; moving boxes.
  • Mobility: Constant standing and movement within the warehouse.
