Job description

Neon is seeking an Engineer - Propeller Design to support development of propeller systems from concept through certification and production. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for an engineer who performs well in high-standard, fast-moving environments and wants to help deliver aerospace hardware with speed, rigor, and technical depth.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical or aerospace system design, analysis, development, or production support.
  • Experience supporting concepting, designing, and introducing a system into production is desired.
  • Experience supporting or transitioning a design into a manufacturing environment or other technical hands-on experience is desired.
  • Understanding of product development, including design, analysis, testing, certification, and production support.
  • Familiarity with aerospace certification techniques, terminology, and accepted practices is desired.
  • Experience supporting FAA or military qualification of systems is helpful.
  • Familiarity with rotating machinery, propellers, rotors, VTOL systems, or traditional aircraft applications is helpful.
  • Experience with CAD, engineering drawings, GD&T, model-based definition, CFD, and structural analysis is helpful.
  • Strong engineering judgment, communication, problem-solving, and execution skills.
  • Ability to work in office, lab, and manufacturing environments as needed.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to comply with export control, ITAR, and related security requirements.
Preferred
  • Experience in aggressive product development environments with high technical standards.
  • Experience supporting certification or qualification of aerospace systems.
  • Strong interest in mechanical systems, aircraft, and manufacturing.
