Job description

Start your journey towards a rewarding and purpose-driven career!
About Swiss Re's Graduate Programme for Early-Career Talent
We're looking for intellectually curious, motivated early-career talent who are completing or have recently completed a bachelor's degree and want to grow, learn, and make a difference. In the US, this opportunity is designed primarily for recent undergraduate talent, though candidates with relevant master's or doctoral degrees may also be considered. If you have no more than three years of professional experience and fit this description, please apply for our rotational Swiss Re Graduate Programme, which starts Fall 2027.
You'll gain hands-on experience in the complex, multifaceted, and fast-paced world of reinsurance and commercial insurance, rotate into different local teams, and receive tailored training to build your expertise. This is your opportunity to shape your career, help protect societies from the world's most threatening hazards, and contribute to making the world more resilient.
About the Role:
As a Broker & Distribution Management Analyst within Corporate Solutions Broker & Distribution Management, you will develop a broad understanding of broker distribution, customer engagement, and commercial strategy while contributing to the execution of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' U.S. distribution strategy. Working alongside experienced broker leaders, distribution managers, and business stakeholders, you will help strengthen broker relationships, support commercial initiatives, and identify opportunities that contribute to sustainable, profitable growth across the U.S. Market Unit.
You will gain exposure to broker relationship management, pipeline development, market strategy, business development, executive stakeholder engagement, and commercial decision-making while building the analytical, relationship-management, and business skills needed to succeed in a market-facing role.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Support pipeline development, opportunity management, and performance reporting across broker partners, regions, and lines of business
  • Assist with broker feedback, pipeline activity, market trends, survey results, and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities, emerging risks, and areas for improvement
  • Contribute to broker engagement strategies, distribution planning, and commercial initiatives that support business development objectives
  • Support account planning, customer engagement activities, and strategic relationship management alongside National Broker Leaders and Regional Distribution Managers
  • Research market developments, broker strategies, customer needs, and industry trends to support distribution planning and commercial decision-making
  • Prepare materials for executive meetings, broker reviews, customer engagements, and senior stakeholder discussions
  • Partner with underwriting, claims, operations, and distribution teams to connect market insights with business priorities and identify opportunities across Swiss Re's solutions portfolio
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of broker events, customer engagements, and market-facing initiatives that strengthen Swiss Re's presence in the marketplace
  • Develop presentations, reporting materials, and performance-tracking tools that support distribution effectiveness and commercial execution
  • Apply data, analytical tools, and emerging technologies to enhance insights, improve decision-making, and support business outcomes
  • Present analyses, recommendations, and commercial insights to stakeholders across the organization
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that strengthen broker connectivity, improve market execution, and support profitable growth

You'll follow a development plan tailored to your strengths, with structured feedback, mentorship, exposure to broker and business leaders, and opportunities to build commercial, analytical, and relationship-management capabilities.
About the Team:
Corporate Solutions is the commercial insurance arm of Swiss Re, helping organizations around the world manage complex risks and build resilience. As part of the Distribution & Client Management team, you will work closely with broker and distribution partners, support business development activities, and help identify opportunities for growth across Swiss Re's commercial insurance portfolio.
Our teams work across a broad range of industries, specialty risks, and innovative risk-transfer solutions, including Cyber, Energy & Natural Resources, Construction, Financial & Professional Liability, Property, Casualty, Accident & Health, Credit & Surety, Excess & Surplus, and Alternative Risk Transfer solutions.
As part of the team, you will gain exposure to broker relationship management, pipeline development, market strategy, executive stakeholder engagement, customer events, and commercial decision-making. Working across business lines and regions, you will develop a broad understanding of the commercial insurance market, build a strong internal network, and establish the foundation for a career within Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.
About You:
We are looking for people who:
  • Have completed, or are about to complete, a bachelor's degree; all majors are welcome, and relevant master's or doctoral degrees may also be considered
  • Have demonstrated academic rigor through course selection and performance; a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 is expected
  • Have no more than three years of professional experience
  • Are intellectually curious about commercial insurance, broker distribution, customer engagement, market dynamics, risk, and financial performance, with the drive to learn quickly and apply new concepts to real business challenges
  • Think analytically, solve complex problems, and enjoy working with data
  • Are self-reflective, seek feedback, and apply it to keep growing
  • Build strong relationships and adapt their style to collaborate effectively across teams, functions, and stakeholders
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Take ownership and demonstrate integrity, sound judgment, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Use Excel and other analytical tools to generate insights from data
  • Have familiarity with reporting, visualization, customer relationship management, or business intelligence tools
  • Are curious about AI and emerging technologies and how they can enhance analysis, strengthen decision-making, and improve business outcomes

The base salary for this role is $70,000. Candidates with advanced degrees may be eligible for a higher base compensation. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only and do not include short-term incentives or other benefits offered.
