We're adding to the team! We are seeking a Program Engineering Manager to be responsible for the hands-on leadership and coordination of a multi-disciplinary engineering team and supervises the overall execution of engineering activities for automation and control system projects for the Great Lakes business unit. This role oversees day-to-day engineering operations, ensuring technical accuracy, resource allocation, adherence to operational SOP's, project delivery excellence and department development to meet the strategic initiatives of the business unit. You will:

  • Lead and develop Group Engineering Managers, Principal Engineers and engineers across electrical and mechanical disciplines to promote growth within your team.
  • Manage change and communication within the organization.
  • Actively promote and enforce adherence to Safety, Health, and Environment rules and procedures.
  • Support the development and implementation of standard work processes, design templates, and engineering best practices to drive quality and efficiency.
  • Provide guidance to align engineering resources and project needs.
  • Manage staff utilization; forecast and identify gaps and risks.
  • Coordinate with other business units to maintain utilization and fill skill gaps.
  • Foster a spirit of commitment to clients, innovation and excellence in execution.
  • Oversee project engineering execution from concept through commissioning, ensuring deliverables meet client requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Support commissioning and field service activities, including troubleshooting, startup assistance, and client training as needed.
  • Ensure engineering change management, documentation control, and version tracking are consistently applied.
  • Participate in internal and external project meetings as required.
  • Maintain consistent project execution as defined by the E Tech Playbook quality system.
  • Conduct and coordinate technical reviews of designs, schematics, and project deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain a regular meeting cadence with staff and staff leaders to communicate business changes, initiatives, success stories and performance metrics.
  • Assist the sales and applications teams with the development of cost estimates and proposals as required.
  • Work with the Business Unit directors to ensure proper department staffing and talent levels to meet AOP goals.
  • Continuously research the advancements in the hardware and software capabilities of E Tech's partners and service providers.

You have:

  • BS Engineering degree.
  • 15+ years' experience in industry; 5+ years in a management role.
  • Proven performance in a stressful environment.
  • Ability to travel as necessary to perform onsite project work.
  • Ability to work perform duties in industrial facilities with harsh environments as required.
  • Ability to work weekends and/or holidays to fulfill customer commitments.
