Job description

Role Summary

We're hiring a Principal Talent Partner to lead hiring for our most senior and business-critical roles, including executive leadership, VP-level leaders, and principal-level individual contributor engineers

This role is designed for a recruiter who thrives in high-stakes, high-touch environments - someone who can build deep trust with candidates, partner closely with C-Suite, and personally close complex offers. We do not use external recruiting agencies; this role replaces them.

Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end recruiting for:
    • Executive and VP-level leadership roles
    • Principal-level and staff-level IC engineers in highly technical domains
  • Partner directly with the CEO, founders, and senior leaders on search strategy, role definition, and candidate calibration
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from first conversation through offer acceptance
  • Act as the primary closer for high-impact hires, managing:
    • Competing offers
    • Equity-heavy compensation discussions
    • Relocation, timing, and family considerations
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior technical and leadership talent, including passive candidates
  • Design interview processes that are rigorous but efficient
  • Translate complex technical, organizational, and business context into compelling narratives for candidates
  • Provide real-time market insight and honest feedback to leadership throughout the hiring process
  • Uphold discretion, professionalism, and strong judgment in all candidate interactions

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of recruiting experience, including senior-level or executive hiring
  • Experience in deep tech, hardware, infrastructure, or highly technical environments
  • Proven ability to close senior candidates in competitive markets without agency support
  • Exceptional judgment, emotional intelligence, and executive presence
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity in an early-stage environment
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and candidate care
  • Clear communicator who can translate complex technical and business contexts to candidates

Bonus Qualifications:

  • In-house experience at Series A-C startups
  • Experience recruiting in niche or emerging technical domains
  • Comfort influencing leveling, scope, and compensation strategy

Please note: This role requires working on-site 5 days a week. We do not offer hybrid or remote options.

Salary: $180,000-210,000/annual
