The Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as a strategic talent partner responsible for delivering high-volume recruiting results for Service Technicians and other critical field and light industrial roles. This position manages the full recruitment lifecycle, from talent sourcing and screening through offer acceptance, while maintaining a continuous pipeline of qualified candidates to support evolving business needs. Success in this role requires a proactive, relationship-driven recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leverages innovative sourcing strategies, and can quickly identify and attract top talent with the technical skills, safety focus, and work ethic needed to succeed at Tennant.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for high-volume Service Technician roles and provides recruitment support as time allows for other light industrial positions across North America.  

  • Partners with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, hiring priorities, skill requirements, labor market conditions, and recruiting strategies to meet business objectives.  

  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies to attract qualified active and passive candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, networking, trade schools, community partnerships, military talent programs, and industry events.  

  • Build and maintain robust talent pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill positions to support current and future hiring needs.  

  • Screen and assess candidates for technical qualifications, relevant certifications, safety awareness, work history, and cultural alignment with Tennant’s values and operational expectations.  

  • Partner closely with hiring managers to evaluate candidate qualifications, provide market insights, and support timely hiring decisions.  

  • Manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously while maintaining service level expectations and achieving recruiting performance goals.  

  • Ensure accurate and timely movement of candidates through our Success Factors’ Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and maintain compliance with all recruiting, documentation, and recordkeeping requirements.  

  • Coordinate with TA Coordinator on pre-employment activities  

  • Monitor recruiting metrics such as candidate pipeline health, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, interview-to-offer ratios, and offer acceptance rates to identify opportunities for improvement.  

  • Leverage recruiting data and market intelligence to provide hiring managers with recommendations on sourcing strategies, talent availability, and competitive hiring trends.  

  • Promote Tennant’s employment brand by serving as an ambassador at career fairs, trade schools, workforce development programs, military recruiting events, and community outreach initiatives.  

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with technical schools, vocational programs, workforce agencies, and other talent sources that support skilled trades recruitment.  

  • Deliver a consistent, responsive, and high-quality experience to candidates, hiring managers, and business stakeholders throughout the recruitment process.  

  • Collaborate with HRBP’s and business leaders to ensure alignment of recruiting efforts with workforce planning and organizational goals.  

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline recruiting processes, improve candidate quality, leverage recruiting technology, and enhance overall hiring effectiveness.  

  • Stay informed on labor market trends, recruiting best practices, industry certifications, and emerging sourcing tools relevant to skilled trades and field service recruitment.  

  • Support special projects, hiring initiatives, and surge recruiting efforts as business needs require. 

 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in recruiting or related field 

  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems  

  • Strong relationship-building skills; credible, trustworthy, and able to engage with diverse audiences. Passionate about delivering exceptional client and candidate experiences 

  • Highly organized with strong prioritization and multi-tasking abilities 

  • Detail-oriented and consistently able to perform to metrics and results expectations 

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment 

  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to think outside the box and overcome challenges 

  • Quick learner who adapts easily to new processes, systems, and evolving business needs 

Total Compensation = Pay range + Benefits

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.  The salary range reflects both entry into the role and future growth. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
