Position Summary
We are seeking a driven and resourceful Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources Recruiting team. This role will focus on sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent for both corporate roles, and field roles across our operations. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of recruiting experience in a high volume environment, and be comfortable with up to 50% travel to our various locations as they support hiring needs and build strong relationships with local teams.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Source and screen candidates for a wide range of roles, including drivers, technicians, operations staff, and administrative positions.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting: Candidate sourcing, hiring manager follow ups, hosting recruiting events, posting jobs, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and extending offers.
  • Design, set up, and attend hiring events, career fairs, and job expos to promote our company and connect with potential talent.
  • Develop relationships with trade schools, community organizations, and local employment agencies.
  • Maintain accurate candidate and requisition data in the Workday applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Have regular communication with hiring manager(s) to maintain an open, effective and impactful business partnership.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience through timely and consistent communication and feedback.
  • Travel regularly (up to 50%) to support field recruiting efforts and hiring events.

Job Qualifications

Education

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.

Experience And Competencies

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in a high-volume, CDL and Diesel Technician, or field-based environment.
  • Experience recruiting for waste to energy facilities, and waste industry roles is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to various sites, often on short notice.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, and non traditional work hours to meet the candidates based on availably.
  • Knowledgable on the laws and regulations that govern all aspects of recruitment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, and Workday's applicant tracking systems (Workday experience preferred).
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting in the waste industry, waste to energy, logistics, construction, or industrial services sectors.
  • Familiarity with high volume, CDL drivers and technicians hiring is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong asset.
