Job description

Talent Acquisition Recruiter Houston, TX Type: 6-month contract. Contract to hire possible Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 Work Model: Onsite. Hybrid Possible Schedule: 9 Hours Monday - Thursday/4 Hours Friday (Subject to Change) System One is seeking a Talent Acquisition Recruiter for a 6-month contract position with potential for hire in Houston, TX. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily administrative, operations, and staffing needs of the employment office.
  • Support the recruiting team by sourcing talent proactively and building relationships.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition Recruiters to develop strategies supporting current and upcoming staffing needs.
  • Review applications, work history, and employee status ratings.
  • Coordinate onboarding tasks for new hires, including background checks, drug screens, I-9, and E-Verify compliance.
  • Track and report staffing plan process data as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties such as data entry, answering phones, and filing.
  • Develop detailed job descriptions, screening questions, and tools tailored to specific positions.
  • Source candidates from internal and external pools, screen for qualifications, and maintain pools by department and region.
  • Assist hiring managers with offers of employment and schedule onboarding.
  • Update Applicant Tracking System with real-time candidate interactions.
  • Attend job fairs and industry events to attract potential candidates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, primarily focusing on sourcing efforts.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under time constraints.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • High School diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of customer service or HR administrative experience.
  • Preferred: Associates or Bachelor's degree, PHR or SHRM-CP certification, knowledge of employment laws and compliance, experience in administration, customer service, HR, industrial construction, or nuclear industries.
  • Physical ability to work in a general office environment with occasional industrial site work, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, lifting up to 50 lbs.
