This is an opportunity to build and scale a high-performing Talent Acquisition function, influence workforce strategy, and partner directly with executive and operational leaders across the company. The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading and executing the organization's national recruiting strategy to support business growth and workforce planning while ensuring consistent, efficient, and high-quality hiring practices across all regions.
Position Overview
The Director of Talent Acquisition leads the organization's Talent Acquisition function and serves as a strategic partner to business leaders across the company. This role is responsible for developing recruiting strategies, building talent pipelines, improving hiring outcomes, and ensuring a consistent candidate experience that supports long-term organizational success.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with operational excellence, using data, technology, and strong business partnerships to attract and retain top talent.
Talent Acquisition Strategy & Workforce Planning
  • Develop and execute a national talent acquisition strategy aligned with business goals and workforce planning needs.
  • Partner with executive, operational, and HR leaders to forecast hiring demand and identify future talent needs.
  • Establish recruiting priorities, performance objectives, and success measures that support organizational growth.
Talent Acquisition Leadership
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing Talent Acquisition team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish clear expectations, priorities, and development opportunities for team members.
Recruiting Operations & Talent Pipeline Development
  • Oversee full-cycle recruiting efforts across all regions and business units.
  • Standardize recruiting processes, tools, and hiring practices to improve consistency and effectiveness.
  • Develop sourcing strategies and proactive talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Partner with hiring leaders to improve hiring quality and decision-making.
Employer Brand & Candidate Experience
  • Strengthen and promote W.E. O'Neil's employer brand in partnership with Human Resources and business leaders.
  • Ensure a consistent, professional, and engaging experience for candidates and hiring managers.
  • Train and support hiring managers on effective interviewing, candidate evaluation, and hiring best practices.
Talent Acquisition Analytics, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
  • Leverage recruiting technology, data, and analytics to improve decision-making and hiring effectiveness.
  • Track and communicate recruiting performance metrics and trends to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve recruiting processes, tools, and outcomes.
Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience leading recruiting efforts across multiple regions, offices, or business units.
  • Construction, engineering, professional services, or related industry experience preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Proven ability to build and scale recruiting functions.
  • Strong strategic thinking and workforce planning capabilities.
