Harlem Children's Zone (HCZ) - a world-renowned education and poverty-fighting organization based in New York - seeks an organized, proactive, and mission-aligned Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join the Talent Acquisition Team.

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will bring a passion for the mission of Harlem Children's Zone: break the cycle of intergenerational poverty with comprehensive, ontheground programming that builds up opportunities for children and families to thrive in school, work, and life.

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator plays a critical role in creating a seamless, highquality experience for both candidates and internal stakeholders. This role supports endtoend recruiting operations across HCZ and Promise Academy by managing interview logistics, maintaining job postings in Workable, shepherding candidate communications, tracking hiring data, and executing key administrative processes that allow Recruiters and hiring managers to operate efficiently. The Coordinator ensures accuracy, consistency, and "white glove" communication at every step, helping HCZ maintain strong hiring operations and a positive employer brand.

Requirements

MInimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • 1-2 years of experience in recruitment coordination, HR operations, or administrative support
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS); Workable experience a plus

What you'll do

Interview Scheduling & Candidate Logistics

  • Schedule all phone screens, panel interviews, demo lessons, and debriefs for Promise Academy and HCZ roles
  • Manage reschedules, Zoom links, room bookings, and distribution of interview materials
  • Send confirmation and reminder emails to candidates and interviewers
  • Track panelist availability and propose interview blocks for highvolume roles
  • Monitor completion of interview feedback in Workable within required timelines
  • Send reminders to interviewers who have not submitted scorecards/hiring rubric

Requisition & Job Posting Operations

  • Create and update requisitions in Workable for Promise Academy and HCZ positions
  • Post and maintain roles across all recruitment platforms
  • Ensure accuracy of job titles, salary ranges, EEO statements, and branding
  • Close roles and clean up old or duplicate postings
  • Maintain the job description and template library

Candidate Communications & Process Hygiene

  • Send all standardized application status updates
  • Provide Promise Academy and HCZ candidates with clear instructions for demo lessons/teaching samples & required forms or documents (transcripts, certifications, etc.)
  • Pull and organize reference checks and background check materials (in partnership with HR)

Reporting, Tracking & Special Projects

  • Pull monthly TA metrics for Promise Academy and HCZ
  • Maintain pipeline trackers for high-volume roles (teachers, afterschool, etc.)
  • Support hiring events, including virtual info sessions, interview days, and career fairs
  • Help build and maintain talent pools in Workable through tagging and status updates

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday
  • 5 days in person
