Job description

We are seeking an experienced ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Developer to join our client's team. As an ETL Developer, you will be responsible for data preparation jobs, data analysis, and data reporting. You will work closely with 3rd parties and government agencies to exchange data, which will require a familiarity with secure file exchanges, data encryption, change control, auditing best practices, and data matching logic. You will also work with databases owned by government agencies outside of our organization and will need to be comfortable with technical troubleshooting, creating technical documentation, and using your ETL expertise to explain issues to stakeholders with different levels of technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and other industry-standard tools and techniques
  • Collaborate with 3rd parties and government agencies to understand data integration requirements and ensure compliance with data security and regulatory standards
  • Design and implement data mapping, data transformation, and data quality rules to ensure accurate and complete data
  • Perform data profiling and data analysis to identify data quality issues and suggest improvements
  • Optimize ETL processes to improve performance and scalability
  • Develop automation scripts and queries to facilitate data preparation and reporting tasks
  • Create technical documentation for ETL processes and related systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ETL processes and data integration
  • Communicate technical issues and solutions to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in ETL development and data integration
