What is an ETL database developer?

An ETL Database Developer is a specialized IT professional responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining processes that extract data from various sources, transform it into a usable format, and load it into databases or data warehouses. They work with ETL tools, scripting languages, and database technologies to ensure data integrity, quality, and efficient data workflows. ETL Database Developers play a key role in supporting business intelligence, analytics, and reporting by ensuring that accurate and timely data is available for decision-making.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an ETL database developer?

To thrive as an ETL Database Developer, you need strong expertise in database design, SQL, data modeling, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, typically supported by a degree in computer science or a related field.
