Job description

About the Role

MU Aqua is seeking a Service Engineer to support wastewater treatment system service activities inside a semiconductor operation facility. This role will work closely with internal teams, site contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth execution of system maintenance, installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and daily site coordination.

The ideal candidate has hands-on field experience in mechanical systems, piping, equipment installation, facility maintenance, water/wastewater treatment, or semiconductor site operations. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced industrial environment and wants to grow within the semiconductor and water treatment industry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily service activities for industrial wastewater treatment systems within an operating semiconductor facility.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage on-site work schedules to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
  • Assist with installation, removal, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of on-site equipment, instruments, piping, and system components.
  • Review construction drawings, system layouts, and technical documents to verify alignment with actual site conditions.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering teams, vendors, subcontractors, and parallel contractors to ensure smooth site execution.
  • Track materials, tools, equipment, and site resources needed for daily work activities.
  • Operate internal procurement or material request systems and assist with material requisitions.
  • Prepare and compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including site progress updates, service records, issue logs, and meeting materials.
  • Communicate site issues, work progress, safety concerns, and schedule updates to supervisors and related teams.


Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, Facility Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical systems, piping, pumps, valves, instruments, water treatment systems, wastewater systems, facility maintenance, or construction site coordination is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in semiconductor, industrial facility, construction, commissioning, or cleanroom environments is a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings, P&IDs, equipment layouts, or technical documents.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple teams on site.
  • Detail-oriented, safety-minded, and able to follow site procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a field/site environment and supporting hands-on activities when needed.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, reporting, and internal system usage.
