Job Summary
As an AMHS (Automate Material Handling System) Department Assistant, you will be an integral part of our Manufacturing Department, offering essential administrative support while gaining invaluable hands-on experience in our cutting-edge FAB cleanroom. Success in this role requires a proactive approach and comfort with regular physical activities such as lifting, squatting, standing, and material movement. Your contributions will directly impact on the quality and efficiency of manufacturing the world's leading advanced semiconductor nodes.
Essential Functions
Process Operations
  • Work onsite 9-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
  • Perform scheduling tasks, administrative support for team/staff meetings, record meeting notes, and document follow-up actions.
  • Responsible for logistics of department supply to include office and production equipment inventory.
  • Align inventory to ensure delivery and ordering of required parts for AMHS department.
  • Support budget, purchase orders and purchase request processes,
  • Organize and schedule job trainings or activity for employees, support communication of schedules with data analysis.
  • Administration of equipment planning to support production activities in the cleanroom and office settings
  • Support AMHS equipment scheduling including the E84 function test support (testing of equipment before used in production)
  • Utilize Excel, Word, PowerPoint in communication, tracking, and data analysis (inventory, percentages, SUM/AVG, Pivot Tables)
  • Communicate with business professionals in Arizona and Taiwan
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a team environment with a common goal
  • Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, push carts for extended periods in cleanroom environment
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, squat down to replace items and climb small ladders/steps as needed
  • Able to work in clean room environment requires full PPE (full cleanroom suit, protective eyewear, gloves, hood, and mask).
  • Precise manual dexterity to perform precise tasks involving connecting/disconnecting lines.
  • Color vision requirements for label/tool/report status interpretation
Shift Structure
TSMC is 24/7 operation, 365 days a year. The AMHS Assistant working schedule is fixed but may deviate during training period based on training resources.
  • Regular Work schedule - Mon to Fri 9AM - 6PM
Training & Development
Training for this position takes 3-4 months to learn the basics, which includes on the job training, standard operating procedure, and trainer led lessons. You will receive comprehensive training on AMHS processes, and fundamental concepts of manufacturing operations, leading toward professional development in semiconductor manufacturing.
