Role Overview
Seeking an Analytics / Tag Management Developer to lead web measurement and datacollection implementations across a portfolio of digital experiences. This role owns datalayer architecture, tagging systems (primarily Adobe Launch + Adobe Analytics, with GA4/GTM as needed), and collaborates closely with engineering teams to ensure accurate, privacycompliant analytics for marketing, product, and leadership reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Tag Management Ownership: Configure, deploy, and maintain tags within Adobe Launch (and GTM when used). Manage environments, publishing workflows, extensions, libraries, and coordinate script placement with CMS engineering teams.
  • Data Layer Development: Convert business requirements into scalable, reusable datalayer specifications; support standardization and versioning across shared component libraries.
  • Analytics Tracking Implementation: Build Adobe Analytics/GA4 tracking, map events/parameters, maintain SDRs, and validate data quality from browser through analytics endpoints.
  • Testing & QA: Create and execute tagging test plans across environments, manage UAT, log and track defects, and follow Agile testmanagement processes.
  • Governance: Maintain tagging standards, documentation, release notes, and act as the primary owner for analytics tagging and UAT approvals.
  • CrossTeam Collaboration: Work closely with frontend/CMS engineers, product teams, marketing, and data engineering to prioritize work and ensure analytics readiness for launches.
  • Monitoring & Reliability: Track tag and consent behavior, monitor performance of analytics payloads, and address regressions caused by component or site updates.
  • Documentation: Maintain implementation guides, analytics playbooks, and runbooks for repeatable use.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience implementing analytics and tagmanagement solutions using Adobe Launch + Adobe Analytics or similar (GA4/GTM with willingness to learn Adobe).
  • Strong understanding of datalayer design (JSON/objects), event schemas, and mapping to analytics dimensions/metrics.
  • Skilled with browser developer tools, debugging beacons, and validating analytics flow endtoend.
  • Experience with enterprise CMS platforms (e.g., AEM) for script governance and release/change control.
  • Handson QA experience, including test planning and defect tracking in Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Effective crossfunctional communication; ability to translate requirements between technical and nontechnical teams.
  • Working knowledge of privacy, consent, and datagovernance practices.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with GA4/GTM, including serverside tagging, and maintaining SDRs or analytics playbooks.
  • Familiarity with enterprise component libraries/design systems and their impact on datalayer strategy.
  • Experience with monitoring tools for tag health and analytics reliability (e.g., synthetic monitoring, observability platforms).
  • Basic SQL skills or ability to query analytics APIs for validation.
