Job Summary
DSI is adding to its ranks in the GREER, SC area. Come join our fast-growing team as a Security Response Team Officer.
This position provides specific close quarters combat tactics and techniques to the DSI security force enabling them to respond quickly and effectively to threats against our clients as they arise. The Security Response Team Officer ensures the protection of assets, securing a physical location and safety of others.
Duties
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing security duties to our client.
  • Interact with a variety of persons including clients, visitors, employees and the general public.
  • Conduct vehicle and foot patrols in marked patrol unit.
  • Perform bag and vehicle searches at checkpoints.
  • Answer calls for service and respond promptly.
  • Respond to emergency calls and active threats.
  • Work effectively in all-weather elements.
  • Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct and report any hazards.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results.
  • Follow post instructions specific to the client.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain visibility to ensure safety and deter unacceptable activities.
  • Control main gate and protected area access.
  • Conduct vehicle search and escort duties.
  • Perform personnel screening and searches.
  • Patrol protected and vital areas.
  • Provide armed tactical contingency response.
  • Understand and comply with DSI and client requirements.
  • Adhere to DSI's Code of Ethics and Employee Standards.
  • Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures and DSI's safety manual.
  • Attend and continue to receive security officer training as required by client or DSI's training program.
  • Present oneself professionally through appearance and conduct.
Position Requirements
  • Be at least 25 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years Class 1 Law Enforcement experience; preferred SWAT, tactical or other specialized training.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Completed live-fire weapons training.
  • Qualified with long gun and pistol; annual testing and re-qualification required.
  • Dependable vigilance at all times.
  • Have reliable means of transportation and communication.
  • Pass all required background and drug screenings.
  • Current knowledge of security technology.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience handling regulations and procedures.
  • Able to perform routine foot patrol and moderate lifting.
