Intrepid has an immediate opening for a Contractor Program Security Officer to support a growing program within a DCSA accredited lab environment. This position requires a proactive and accountable security professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-critical, and compliance-focused setting, supporting the Program Security Manager in delivering a gold-standard program.
Responsibilities
The Contractor Program Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a gold standard security posture for the Tactical Innovation and Experimentation Lab (TIEL) mission areas at our Huntsville facility. The CPSO will collaborate with IS Security, system administrators, TIEL leadership, and other industry partners to ensure compliance with DCSA directives while supporting TIEL's unique mission. Key responsibilities include:
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding standards including proper use of GSA-approved containers and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
  • Manage secure storage containers and combinations; ensure proper accountability of classified holdings.
  • Manage physical access controls, alarm systems, access lists, and visitor control procedures for classified spaces.
  • Assess security compliance through self-inspections, random and routine compliance checks, and interviews with employees.
  • Maintain records for cleared employees; manage reinvestigations, continuous vetting requirements, CAC applications and reverifications.
  • Maintain accurate records for initial, annual, special briefings, debriefings, and insider threat training.
  • Process Visit Access Requests (VAR) in DISS.
  • Investigate security infractions/violations and prepare reports as required.
  • Maintain training records and ensure compliance with program, security and role-based training requirements.
  • Generate, receive, and transfer classified materials.
  • Conduct classified material inventories, validating markings, labels, and locations of items are accurate and up to date.
  • Use appropriate SCGs to advise on classification decisions.

This position is onsite 5 days/week.
Qualifications
Required:
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience supporting DoD classified contracts
  • In-depth understanding of 32 CFR Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), ISLs, Insider Threat Program requirements, and industrial security best practices
  • Proficiency with DISS, SWFT, NISS, and SIMS
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to work closely with a team of highly driven individuals
  • DOD Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment

Preferred:
  • Active Top Secret security clearance
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field (or 6 years relevant work experience)
  • Completion of FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities CDSE curriculum
  • Proven record of security excellence (Cogswell award recipient, consistent track record of Superior and Commendable ratings, etc.)
  • Experience with ACCS; COMSEC/DIAS; Lenel or CCure access control systems
  • Excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills
