Job Summary:
Mechanically deals table games in a proficient manner.
Available Shifts:
  • Swing Shift- 8:00PM-4:00AM

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform the act of mechanically dealing a game in a proficient manner, according to current company policies and procedures and applicable gaming regulations.
  • Responsible for handling guest transactions and notifying Table Games Supervisor or Table Games Manager of any irregularities, disputes or arguments that may arise during the game among players/dealer.
  • Exchanges currency for gaming chips and pay or collect bets according to house rules in an accurate manner.
  • Supports and maintain Rivers Casino Portsmouth guest service standards at all times while promoting outstanding guest relations.
  • Provide the utmost in guest service.
  • Assists with the cleanliness of the casino property, front and heart of the house.
  • Complies with all gaming policies/procedures as established by the division and/or Rivers Casino Portsmouth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with particular attention to quality and detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with Team members and guests
  • Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays
  • Ability to work with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.

Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
  • Able to obtain and retain gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s).

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to stand for extended periods of time.
  • See, walk, talk and hear as well as using hands to handle, feel and reach gaming equipment (cards, chips, dice, shuffle devices, etc)
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to identify colors.
  • Be able to turn your upper body at least 60 degrees.
  • Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, twisting, bending and lifting
  • May be required to sit for periods of time
  • Frequent grasping, squeezing and handling of money and bundles
  • Must be able to work in a loud, bright, and/or smoky environment.
