T1 Energy is bringing solar manufacturing back to the U.S. by building a domestic solar supply chain. Our mission is to invigorate America with scalable, reliable, and low-cost energy. Our fully operational 5GW solar module facility in Wilmer, Texas, can manufacture more than 20,000 modules every 24 hours. By the time you finish reading this paragraph, we will have produced two solar panels that will power American homes and fuel domestic AI. We're focused on building advanced American manufacturing and we're passionate about engineering a better future filled with abundant energy.
Electrical Technician
Essential Responsibilities:
Journeyman's license required
• Serve as the technical lead for troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of plant electrical systems and infrastructure.
• Provide hands-on training and guidance to junior technicians and maintenance staff.
• Assess facility and equipment conditions and make proactive recommendations for
upgrades, repairs, and preventative strategies.
• Support the execution of small capital improvement and O&M projects.
• Oversee work performed by external vendors, ensuring compliance with T1 Energy policies, OSHA standards, and local/federal codes.
• Perform electrical wiring, testing, inspections, and maintenance of environmental and life
safety systems under regulatory compliance requirements.
• Read and interpret complex diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
• Troubleshoots simple AC circuitry. Identifies and replaces blown fuses
• Systematically perform power recovery of the building
• Conducts operation, maintenance, tests, and repairs of mechanical, electrical and controls equipment, systems, and components
• Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and mechanical support
Required Qualifications:
• Journeyman's license required
• Solid understanding of NFPA, NEC, and OSHA standards.
• Ability to analyze and interpret single-line diagrams, technical blueprints, and specifications.
• Experience working in renewable energy, manufacturing, or cleanroom environments.
