Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Test Engineer / Principal Systems Test Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, UT and it will support the Sentinel - Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You'll Get To Do:

The selected engineer will be responsible for multiple tasks supporting requirement derivation and verification planning for the Command Systems (CS) Integration and Test Team. The engineer will be responsible for performing tasks dealing with requirement decomposition, compliance tracking, and verification planning and verification execution. This will also include:

  • Synthesizing customer contractual needs and requirements into test solutions that acknowledges technical schedule and cost constraints.
  • Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for subsystem components.
  • Coordinate integrated testing activities.
  • Support development of the program Integrated Test Plan (ITP) for the CS segment.
  • Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.
  • Perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepare comprehensive system level evaluations.

Basic Qualifications

This requisition may be filled at either the Systems Test Engineer level (T-02) or Principal Systems Test Engineer level (T-03).

System Test Engineer:

  • 2 Years with Bachelors in STEM; 0 Years with Masters.
  • US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
  • 1+ year of demonstrated experience in developing test plans and procedures.
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and processes, requirements decomposition and allocation, design and analysis.

Principal System Test Engineer:

  • 5 Years with Bachelors in STEM; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in developing test plans and procedures.
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and processes, requirements decomposition and allocation, design and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or higher in a Science, technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field of study.
  • US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
  • Experience with developing an Integrated Test Plan (ITP).
  • Demonstrated experience in RF/Comms test planning and execution.
  • Demonstrated experience in EMI/E3 test planning and execution.
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience with AF Test Directive 99-103, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience with Model Based System Engineering principles, CAMEO, and DOORS.
  • Experience with ICBMs (MM, PK, Small Missile) or DOD programs.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
