Summary: 

  • Support the Human Factors Engineering team with 3D modeling and systems integration activities for military aircraft platforms.

  • Apply human performance principles, biomechanics, and anthropometric analysis to develop human-centered aircraft cockpit and cabin designs.

  • Utilize 3D modeling tools such as 3DX, CATIA, or equivalent platforms to create anthropometrically accurate virtual human models and evaluate fit, reach, visibility, and ergonomics.

  • Support human engineering requirements development, interpretation, hardware design, and verification/testing activities for next-generation flight deck and cabin concepts.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure ergonomic, operational, and human factors requirements are integrated into aircraft system designs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Factors Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomechanics, or related technical field.

  • Experience with 3D modeling tools such as:

    • 3DX

    • CATIA

    • Equivalent CAD/modeling platforms

  • Understanding of:

    • Human performance principles

    • Biomechanics

    • Anthropometric analysis

    • Ergonomics and human-centered design

  • Experience supporting systems integration or aircraft design activities.

  • Ability to interpret engineering requirements and support design verification/testing activities.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team-oriented engineering environment.

  • Must be local to Stratford, CT.

  • Ability to work 100% onsite.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Junior-level Systems Engineering experience supporting aerospace or defense programs.

  • Experience supporting military aircraft cockpit or cabin design initiatives.

  • Familiarity with virtual human modeling and ergonomic assessment tools.
