Job description

  • Provide leadership and direction for sustainment systems engineering for the Naval Messaging ISEA
  • Evaluate systems engineering tools and design custom workflows for Naval Messaging
  • Integrate systems engineering tools into daily procedures with team members
  • Develop systems engineering strategy and documentation for sustainment of Naval Messaging systems
  • Modernize ISEA systems engineering processes using a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach as directed by the DoN and NAVWAR guidance
  • Manage system requirements and their allocation for Naval Messaging systems
  • Support installations, systems and software engineering, cybersecurity, software development, infrastructure as code, training, logistics, integration, testing, and new messaging-system baselines/capabilities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 18 or more years of experience; Master's degree and 16 or more years; or PhD/JD and 15 or more years
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance to start
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Experience managing and maintaining software/systems in an Agile environment using CI/CD tools and regular Scrum meetings
  • Experience with Naval Messaging systems and systems design
  • Familiarity working on classified systems and managing classified data
  • Experience with IBM Rational Tools Suite
  • Experience using CAMEO digital engineering tools
  • Requirements development and allocation to DoD system designs
  • Experience developing systems engineering designs to DoD standards
  • Working knowledge of Jira/Confluence and Microsoft Office, including Visio, Project, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent communication skills
