Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring an Efficiency Systems Engineer to support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location.

As an Efficiency Systems Engineer on our team, you will support an efficiency-focused group at the top level of a directorate focused on identifying and seizing opportunities to leverage and evolve the directorate's personnel. Tasks include: 

  • Perform requirements management for an efficiency-focused organization and help make improvement recommendations while ensuring critical requirements are not lost.
  • Engage with internal and external personnel to improve the processes of the organization, including helping the organization 'run more like a business'
  • Identify areas for improvement and help realize changes in processes that are scalable to other organizations. #AJCM #MDFSP 
Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a related discipline and at least 20 years of systems engineering experience. A master's degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience for a total of 18 years of systems engineering experience. Note: High School Diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
  • Requirements management and requirements elicitation experience.
  • Familiarity with process improvement techniques.
  • Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

  • Process engineering, Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement experience
  • Management consultancy or similar experience
  • The ability to proactively reach out to high-level customers without prior engagement, understand their process and system workflows, and develop requirements for improved systems and processes
  • Familiarity with customer policy and engagement initiatives
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting to complete assigned tasks on schedule
  • Flexible/easily adaptable within a dynamic work environment

Target Salary Range$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
