Job description

Sigma Defense is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Duluth, GA.

This is a contingent position that is pending award of contract. This means that the position is subject to the successful awarding of a contract and will be confirmed once the contract is finalized. The candidate selected for this role will be offered the position on the condition that the contract is awarded to our organization.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in systems engineering supporting DOD programs.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Education Requirements:

  • MA/MS degree from an accredited college or university in Engineer, Computer Science, or related field of study.

Experience/Degree Substitution:

  • 1 academic year at an accredited college or university in an accredited, preferred degree-related, post-secondary program for 1 year of experience.
  • 3 additional years of experience, and a BA/BS degree, or, an additional 6 years of experience without a BA/BS may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

  • Assess systems, determine problems, and provide solutions to issues that arise.
  • Design, upgrade, and maintain systems while brainstorming possible improvements that can be made to a system in the future.
  • Speak to and collaborate with a variety of people including clients, vendors, management, and Information Technology (IT) staff during the creation and maintenance of a system.
  • Creating control features to ensure systems effectively meet the organization's quality control procedures to ensure systems are efficient and operational.
  • Develop a cost-efficient system for projects by performing a cost-benefit analysis.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
