Job description

Job Summary:
SIMCO, LLC is managing and operating the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) and is currently seeking a Waste Data System Database Administrator. The role involves maintaining and administering the database for the Waste Data System, including ORACLE database management and customer interfacing.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and administer the database for the Waste Data System (WDS).
• This includes the installation, updates, and maintenance of the ORACLE database software; the development and application of scripts to support the WDS application; modification and maintenance of the database schemas and objects; configuration of the software and schemas; optimization and tuning of queries and database health; administration of access roles and grants; performing backup and restoration of the databases; and interfacing with customers and management to answer data queries.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree with five (5) years of relevant experience, or
• Associate’s degree with nine (9) years of relevant experience, or
• High School Diploma or Equivalency with thirteen (13) years of relevant experience is required.
• Experience must include maintaining ORACLE databases.
• Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances.
Preferred:
• Previous WIPP experience is a plus.
