Job description

he Quality Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and improving the facility's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements. This role coordinates internal audits, corrective actions, document control, employee training, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. The Quality Coordinator serves as the facility subject matter expert for ISO 9001 (Owner of the ISO 9001 for the Canton Facility).


Job Duties:

  • Develop, implement and monitor quality policies, procedures and work instructions.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct and document internal quality audits; identify non-conformities and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Follow up on internal audit results and ensure completion deadlines are met.
  • Manage controlled documents, including revisions, approvals, distribution, retention and archiving through document management systems (Nintex and Microsoft Teams).
  • Internal monitoring of ICAR’s (internal corrective action) – working with the teams to ensure they are closed on-time.
  • Participate in the investigation and resolution of CAR’s.
  • Coordinate root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities resulting from audit, customer complaints and process failures.
  • Train staff and employees on QMS requirements and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist the Quality Manager in developing monthly QMS and annual Management Review presentations
  • Drive quality management system improvements through effective auditing and documentation revisions.
  • Develop monthly internal audit schedule & conduct audits accordingly
  • Facilitate 2nd party on-site audits
  • Address any nonconformance’s identified during the surveillance/recertification audit
  • Support and back-up Quality Manager.
  • Assist with any Quality Duties as required from auditing, external auditing and back up other quality positions as required across all 3 shifts.
  • Assist Production and other departments are required.


Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED,
  • Prefer 2-year college degree in related field of study
  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, Lead Auditor, or other quality-related certifications is a plus.


Experience:

  • 2 years of experience supporting or maintaining ISO 90001 Quality Management System.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience, plastics injection molding experience preferred
  • Prior experience leading projects or coordinating audits.
  • Prior experience supervising, training or motivating employees.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong proficiency using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMMs), and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and Teams.
  • Solid understanding of ISO 9001 standard.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and thrives in a collaborative, team environment.
  • Motivated self-starter who is able to work independently and deliver results meeting deadline.

Job Type: Full-Time - Exempt 

Pay: $66,500 - $72,800
