Job description

Fractional Controller – Consumer Products Industry

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Account Manager to serve as the strategic point of contact for a portfolio of e-commerce and product-based clients. This is a client-facing role at the intersection of accounting, operations, and technology, ideal for someone who loves designing systems as much as building relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned clients, managing day-to-day communication and long-term account health
  • Design and implement scalable accounting processes and procedures tailored to each client's business model
  • Own full-cycle inventory accounting, from purchase orders and receipts through landed cost allocation and COGS
  • Manage and reconcile landed costs across freight, duties, tariffs, and other import-related expenses
  • Support Amazon and e-commerce clients with platform-specific accounting needs (settlements, fees, returns, FBA inventory)
  • Identify technology gaps and lead clients through systems implementation, integration, and optimization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure client deliverables are accurate and on time
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for clients

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with significant client-facing or advisory responsibility
  • Deep understanding of inventory accounting and landed cost methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central, FBA accounting, or e-commerce platforms
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop; experience with ERP systems (NetSuite) a strong plus
  • Demonstrated ability to design and document accounting processes and internal controls
  • Comfortable evaluating and implementing new technology tools

What We're Looking For

  • A systems thinker who can spot an inefficient process and build something better
  • Strong communicator who can manage client expectations with confidence and clarity
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-client environment
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys helping clients understand their numbers, not just reporting them
  • This position is open to U.S candidates only

Why Apply?

  • High-visibility role with direct client impact
  • Exposure to complex, multi-entity and multi-channel businesses
  • Collaborative team that values initiative and continuous improvement
  • Opportunity to shape how we serve a growing e-commerce client base
