Our client, a leading organization in the automotive and propulsion systems industry, is seeking a System Validation Engineer to join their team. As a System Validation Engineer, you will be part of the Vehicle Engineering Department supporting propulsion system validation and diagnostics.ย ย

Job Title: System Validation Engineer (Vehicle Triage and Validation Engineer for Propulsion Systems)ย 

Location: Auburn Hills, MI (On Site)

Pay Range: $28 per hour

What's the Job?

  • Support verification, validation, and DVP design for Integrated Software Qualification Testing of propulsion systems.
  • Assist with vehicle builds and high voltage testing for propulsion system service and end-of-line activities.
  • Collaborate with aftersales teams at dealerships to track and resolve field quality concerns.
  • Support controls validation, calibration, and development teams during field issues resolution.
  • Gather and develop requirements for propulsion features and lead diagnostic requirement identification for new technologies.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Proficiency in developing diagnostic content for electrified and conventional propulsion systems.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic protocols, CAN messaging structure, and electrical systems test interfaces.
  • Experience with tools such as CANalyzer and ETAS Inca.
  • Understanding of vehicle propulsion systems, including diagnostics and component monitoring.
