Job Title: Audio Test Engineer
Location: Dearborn, MI (Onsite)
Experience on testing process, test management and planning. Experience in Audio Head Unit and Amplifier testing.
Experience in analyzing System Specifications regarding Supplier requirements.
Tools: CANalyzer, CANOe, Audacity, Audio Precision tool, A2B Bus Monitor. Knowledge of Python and Hands-on experience.
Responsible for analyzing, diagnosing, testing, and calibrating electrical and electronic amplifier units to ensure they meet performance specifications.
Test and evaluate performance of DSP algorithms and audio systems.
Perform functional testing on multi-channel amplifiers using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators to verify performance, gain, and frequency responsae.
Evaluate sound output to ensure compliance with specifications, checking for distortion, noise, or improper signal routing across all channels. Measuring the amplification factor, signal-to-noise ratio, and clipping points of amplifiers or preamps using specific tools and a controlled environment to ensure accurate, safe, and repeatable measurements.
