Responsibilities:
• Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and related documents to understand project intentions, establishing comprehensive project schedules in coordination with the team while identifying crucial installation timelines.
• Oversee the procurement of supplies and materials required for project completion, and actively participate in project cost reviews to ensure financial efficiency.
• Assist in contracting subcontractors, coordinating their activities to align with the project scope, schedules, and fiscal requirements while ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
• Providing all necessary project documentation such as scope of work, technical drawings, project contacts, and application-engineered diagrams
• Diligently track project resources and progress, documenting any events impacting the schedule, scope, and overall efficiency; identify and pursue opportunities for project-specific change orders.
• Manage project-specific billing coordination with the accounting team, schedule commissioning resources, expedite the return of mark-ups for as-built development, and ensure timely completion of project-specific close-out documentation.
• Develops and updates project implementation plans, coordinating resources to ensure timely and cost-effective installation and completion of assigned projects or tasks. Creating full and complete project estimates, drafting written proposal responses and contracts.
• Ensures profitable completion of each project or task. Effectively manages cash, cost, and billing. Consistently produces billings in a timely and accurate manner in a format required by our customers and ensures that billings are clearly communicated to our customers.
• Develops and maintains viable relationships with customers, prime contractors, subcontractors, and trade personnel. Schedules and attends progress meetings as directed. Provides detailed instructions to and interfaces with installers and subcontractors. Ensures that subcontractors readily understand the expectations of the project.
• Adheres to safety standards. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
• Manage project timelines and budgets effectively.
Qualifications
• Associate's degree or an Engineering Degree in a relevant engineering field preferred and/or 3 to 5 years of experience with Project Management in BMS/BAS, HVAC, construction or critical facilities operations.
• Must be able to travel to job sites as needed - up to 50% travel may be required.
• 3 to 5 years of experience with Project Management in engineering, BMS/BAS, HVAC, construction or critical facilities operations.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel etc.)
• Excellent communication, presentation, training, and technical writing skills.
• An analytical approach to problem-solving; team-oriented, self-motivated, and enjoys hands-on work.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver projects successfully and profitably.
• Ability to document system changes, RFIs, Change Order requests effectively.
• Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and staff coordination.
