We are seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator to support the administration, maintenance, security, and optimization of enterprise cloud environments. This role is ideal for an experienced systems administrator with deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Linux administration, and cloud security compliance. The successful candidate will help sustain and modernize mission-critical cloud infrastructure while supporting development, testing, and operational teams in a highly secure environment. Key Responsibilities
Deploy, manage, maintain, and secure workloads within AWS cloud environments.
Administer and support Amazon EKS and Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications.
Perform Linux (RHEL) and Windows systems administration activities, including patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Implement and maintain security controls, system hardening measures, and STIG compliance requirements.
Utilize AWS Management Console and AWS CLI to provision, configure, and manage cloud resources.
Support cloud networking, identity management, access controls, and AWS security services.
Monitor cloud infrastructure and respond to operational issues to ensure system availability and reliability.
Collaborate with development and test teams to support application deployments and ongoing operational requirements.
Develop and maintain technical procedures, documentation, system architectures, and operational processes.
Analyze system performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend operational enhancements.
Assist with cloud modernization initiatives and expansion of enterprise AWS and container platforms.
Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles to improve security, reliability, operational excellence, and performance. Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree may substitute for two years of experience.
Minimum 10 years of IT systems administration experience supporting both Microsoft and Linux environments.
Demonstrated experience managing and operating workloads in AWS cloud environments.
Experience with:
AWS cloud infrastructure administration
Amazon EKS
Kubernetes
Linux administration (RHEL)
Windows systems administration
AWS CLI
STIG compliance and security hardening
Patch management and system upgrades
Experience supporting development and test teams within cloud environments.
Understanding of AWS networking and security services. Preferred Qualifications
Candidates should possess at least three of the following certifications, training programs, or equivalent experience:
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

Operating a Production Kubernetes Cluster
Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA)
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
