Job Description
The Temporary Group Fitness Instructor will lead group fitness classes for the University community. Class formats include, but are not limited to: TRX®, Barre, Pound, Boot Camp, Kickboxing, conditioning workouts, dance fusion classes, abdominal & lower back, strength training, HIIT training, Zumba®, hip-hop, Spinning®, TRX® Pilates, and yoga. Assist with maintenance of equipment. Enforce facility and program policies.
Education and Experience
  • Previous group fitness teaching experience.
  • Knowledge of strength training and cardiovascular exercise.
  • National fitness certification (NSCA, ACSM, ACE, AFAA, NASM or equivalent), Adult CPR/AED or acquired w/in 30 days of hire.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Ability to conduct safe and effective classes.
  • Good communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Lead group exercise classes for both students and staff.
