Job Description:

Required: 

This position is for Senior Distributed Grid Administrator with 4-6 years of experience in managing IBM Platform Symphony Grid platform. 

This role requires hands on experience in designing, managing large size compute grid platforms for Financial /Education institutions. 

The candidate should be able to handle client onboarding to this platform. These compute grids are computing different risk scenarios for different time critical business groups like Equity/ Fixed Income /Foreign Exchange etc

Job Profile

As part of Grid Administration team, the selected candidate will be managing Distributed Compute Grid platform which consists of more than 25k engines supporting over 25 applications. 

He /she will be supporting day to day challenges and will be working with different Development teams to collect the application requirements, configure grid platform and onboard new applications. 

This role requires working with different infrastructure teams like OSE, Network, DBA s etc to build, optimize distributed grid platform. 

Also this role will be assisting in designing, procuring hardware for new platforms. 

This role will be working on automation of day to day support activities using different tools. 

Support documentation and team member knowledge sharing is must.

This role will be participating in team On Call rotation schedule and will be required for after hour/weekend release /maintenances work. 

Candidate should be a good team player. He/ She will be dealing with global teams.


Minimum Qualifications 

- 5 years' experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) with a minimum of 1+ years in leadership roles in the HPC environment supporting an Investment Banking Trading Environment 

- Knowledge of securities industry core business products and services 

- 3+ years of Tibco DataSynapse, IBM Symphony, Oracle Coherence, Tibco EMS & Solace messaging 

- Ability to write one or more languages ( Java, .Net, C/C++) Scripting Languages (Perl, Shell , and VB)

- Experience in Unix /Networking and troubleshooting/fine tuning exposure 

- Experience in the following, providing architecture, engineering, and implementation services for distributed compute and data solutions and be able to deploy, maintain, optimize and administer HPC environment. 

- Extensive experience with complex server-class activities across various platforms and environments including business requirement identification, planning, and testing. 

- Extensive and diverse technical background including knowledge of application architecture and implementation of highly available recovery models, including setup, configuration, and monitoring of server infrastructure, networking, and database technologies. 


Preferred Skills 

- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience 

- Strong analytical skills with both detail and big-picture processing 

- Self-motivated, well organized with strong innovation and facilitation skills 

- Proven oral and written communication skills; excellent business presentation skills 

- Demonstrated success at building team relationships and partnerships across organizational lines. 

- Able to handle a fast paced, aggressive trading environment
