Job description

First Entertainment Credit Union is looking for an Associate Branch Manager who is responsible for assisting the Branch Manager in overseeing service expectations, goal achievement, and the daily operations of the branch.
As the Associate Branch Manager, you will motivate, guide, and train teammates in effective service expectations, and cross sell and production efforts. The Associate Branch Manager supervises and coordinates activities of employees engaged in assisting members. You will help manage a broad variety of financial services, such as opening and closing accounts, opening and renewing certificates, opening IRA accounts, processing and funding consumer loans, and general member financial needs.
This is a full-time, onsite opportunity reporting to the Branch Managerand is based in Hollywood. The target starting hourly rate in California is between $33.50 and $40.00.
Responsibilities
  • Is responsible for assisting with the effective and efficient performance of branch production, quality service, sales, and operations.
  • Lead, supervise, and train staff, including new employees, ensuring knowledge and skill level is appropriate to job duties and functions, particularly with regard to quality service expectations, and with cross selling products and services.
  • Actively follow up on new and pending accounts and applications processed by self and staff to ensure cross-sell opportunities have been identified and maximized.
  • Manage employee life cycle events and activities, such as recruiting, feedback and coaching, learning & development, performance feedback, and so on.
  • Ensure adequate controls are maintained for a wide range of tasks, such as card issuance systems, branch opening/ closing, cash counts, cash, and negotiable instrument controls and processing.
  • Serve as a Membership Officer responsible for the review, verification and approval of new accounts.
  • Offer coverage support to other branches as requested by the leadership team.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the leadership team.

Requirements
  • High school graduate, two-year college degree or equivalent preferred, or completion
  • of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
  • Prior leadership experience as a manager or supervisor is preferred.
  • Notary certification or the ability to become certified within the first 12 months of employment.
  • A minimum of two to five years of work-related experience in a full-service financial institution or experience in a related position in a related field. Prefer at least two years supervisory or lead employee experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Credit Union products and services, procedures and guidelines, and field of membership requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of regulations applicable to essential responsibilities. Ability to read, speak and write clearly to convey information effectively.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of audience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Symitar for Windows (Episys).
