Role: Project Manager with Banking Experience - NYC - 2/3 days onsite.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in banking or financial services to lead and deliver complex projects across business and technology teams. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing cross-functional initiatives, understanding core banking processes, and ensuring timely and successful delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and manage end-to-end project lifecycle within the banking domain.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, QA, and operations.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
  • Monitor project progress and performance using appropriate tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
  • Coordinate with regulatory, compliance, and risk teams where necessary.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings and reports for senior stakeholders and executives.
  • Manage change control processes and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Ensure adherence to internal and external compliance and governance standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field (MBA or PMP is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager within banking or financial services.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale technology or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of banking processes (e.g., core banking, digital banking, payments, risk, compliance).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
