Job description

Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Pelzer, SC

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer with strong experience in low-voltage (LV) switchgear and power distribution systems to support the design and development of electrical infrastructure for power modules, IT modules, and data center applications. The ideal candidate will lead electrical engineering activities across project phases and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, efficient, and code-compliant designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop AC/DC power distribution systems, including switchgear, generators, lighting, grounding, and electrical integration for modular power and data center environments.
  • Lead electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from concept and design through implementation and support.
  • Create and review single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, control schematics, and detailed design documentation.
  • Develop equipment specifications, bills of materials (BOM), and technical documentation to support manufacturing and installation.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent 3D modeling tools to produce accurate electrical designs and layouts.
  • Ensure designs comply with NEC codes, industry standards, and project-specific requirements.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, structural, and manufacturing teams to ensure proper integration of electrical systems.
  • Support troubleshooting, design improvements, and resolution of technical issues during project execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably in data centers, power modules, or industrial systems.
  • Strong knowledge of low-voltage (LV) switchgear and electrical distribution systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar 3D modeling/design tools.
  • Working knowledge of NEC codes and electrical standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
