Job description

Description:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Swiss lathe CNC machines to produce high-quality parts that meet strict customer and quality requirements.

This position is ideal for a machinist who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys working with tight tolerances, and values teamwork and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC Swiss lathe machines for precision production
  • Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and GD&T specifications
  • Select tooling, set offsets, and adjust feeds and speeds
  • Perform first-article and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments
  • Monitor machine performance and part quality; make adjustments as needed
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and quality system requirements (ISO/AS9100, as applicable)
  • Document production and inspection results accurately
  • Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives
  • Collaborate with programmers, engineers, quality, and production teams

Qualifications

  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills
  • Experience holding tight tolerances in a precision machining environment
  • Knowledge of tooling, materials, and machining best practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Experience in aerospace or medical manufacturing preferred
