CNC Lathe Machinist

B&J Medical is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC Swiss lathes to produce high-precision components in a clean, quality-focused medical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC Swiss lathes (Star, Citizen, Tsugami, or similar)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications
  • Perform first article and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and make tooling or offset adjustments as needed
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
  • Follow FDA, ISO, safety, and company quality standards
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of CNC Swiss lathe experience preferred
  • Experience with G-code/M-code programming and tool offsets
  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and precision inspection equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Medical manufacturing experience is a plus
