Description:

Kadon Precision Machining is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our growing team. If you have experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and are looking to expand your skills, we are willing to train the right motivated individual on our Swiss lathe equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a machinist who enjoys precision work, takes pride in producing quality parts, and wants to grow their career with a stable, family-owned manufacturing company that invests in its employees.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC Swiss lathes (training provided for the right candidate).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Understand and apply GD&T.
  • Select tooling, establish work offsets, and make machine adjustments as needed.
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
  • Monitor machine performance and part quality while maintaining tight tolerances.
  • Troubleshoot tooling, machining, and quality issues.
  • Accurately complete production and inspection documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and work collaboratively with supervisors, programmers, quality personnel, and fellow machinists.
Requirements:

Required

  • Experience operating and/or setting up CNC lathes in a precision machining environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T.
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
  • Positive attitude, dependable attendance, and a willingness to learn.

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Swiss lathe experience.
  • Setup experience.
  • Experience in a precision machining or high-volume production environment.
