As a Feed Mill Operator, you?ll work hands-on with feed mill equipment and automated production systems used to receive grain and ingredients, grind, batch, mix, and produce high-quality feed for our swine production operations. You?ll monitor computerized systems and production equipment, handle raw materials, perform quality checks, load finished feed for shipment, maintain production records, troubleshoot basic equipment issues, and help keep the facility running safely and efficiently.This is a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing and production environment where you?ll learn the feed production process from start to finish. Candidates with experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, machine operations are encouraged to apply. No experience required training will be provided.Country View Family Farms is seeking a Feed Mill Operator at our Hagerstown, Indiana milling location. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety standards and CVFF policies while overseeing feed inventories, maintaining cleanliness, and following SOPs for equipment operation. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer proficiency, and preferably, experience with forklifts. However, no experience is required and training will be provided.The position requires physical capability for lifting heavy items and working in diverse environmental conditions. By ensuring our feed mill equipment operates safely and efficiently, our maintenance team plays a direct role in supporting our farms, our farmers, and our commitment to producing quality pork for families across the country.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform all duties in a safe manner consistent with CVFF policies, procedures and safety training.Monitor ingredient and finished feed inventories, as required.Maintain good housekeeping consistent with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in assigned areas.Perform general labor duties as assigned by management.Ensure micro-bins are filled according to SOPs.Collect all required samples as defined in the Quality Assurance Manual and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Perform all required testing as outlined in the SOPs.Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation.Monitor batching, pelleting, fat application, grinding and routing processes.Input information into computer automation system accurately.Operate equipment, automatically or manually, via computer automation consistent with procedures.Promote safe work practices through example and maintain a lost work day incident rate equal to zero.Perform other duties as assigned by management.
